WT Equestrian LLC/Southwest Horse Power, Inc. is offering group workshops and training for facilities, referring agencies and corporations. The Equine Integrated Learning program is part of the Equine Integrated Therapy program but focuses on learning. In the learning sessions the participants work on communication, leadership, teamwork and problem solving skills. Our model is Solution Focused. This is a model that believes all clients/participants can discover the best solutions for themselves when given the opportunity. Solution focused sessions allow the client/participant to explore, problem-solve, overcome challenges and discover their own solutions.
Often times we only need to be in a horse’s presence to feel a sense of wellness and peace. In fact research shows that people experience many physiological benefits from interacting with horses including lower blood pressure and heart rates, increased levels of beta endorphins (neurotransmitters) that serve as pain suppressors, decreased stress levels, reduced feelings of anger, hostility, tension and anxiety. Social functioning is improved and there are increased feelings of empowerment, trust, patience and self-efficacy.
There is a valley between humans and horses and in this valley there lies a jewel. This jewel shines with the voice of Win Simon, who, with knowledge and compassion and caring staff, offers a healing experience for all. Through guided interaction with the Horse, one develops an understanding and sensitivity that expands awareness and compassion for others and one's self. Sharing experiences with the Horse provides a way to heal through being fully present. Intentions are reinforced with the inspiration created together in a therapeutic program engaging the body-mind-spirit to receive the amazing offerings of the Horse and the embodiment of its power on this Earth.
I am blessed to be part of the Equine Integrated Therapy Program for over a year. It has enriched my life.
